Step Into Your Story

1. 1. SET THE MOODChoose a quiet, well-lit surface. Natural light is ideal, but a warm lamp will do. Clear the space and cover the area with newspapers to keep it clean. Invite focus.
2. 2. GATHER YOUR TOOLSOrganize your pigment box, MAKERY® brush case, and reference sheet. Add a cup of water and a cloth for rinsing. Each element has its role.
3. 3. PREPARE YOUR TOOLSOpen your first pigment pot and paint all areas with that number before moving on to the next. Start with the larger areas, then the smaller ones. This helps preserve paint and reduces brush cleaning.
4. 4. START PAINTINGMatch the brush size to the area. Start with the dark tones and move gradually to the lighter ones. Let each section dry slightly before layering more color. Clean your brush before switching pigments to prevent mixing.
5. 5. BEFORE YOU STEP AWAYRinse each brush thoroughly and dry it gently. Keep lids off only when in use. Close the pigment box securely and clear your workspace.
